Active Directory Migration
When your workstation has been connected to our new system, the following document will be placed on your desk:
Your workstation has been connected to the new Microsoft Active Directory domain.
Here some directions on how to login and set your new password:
The Eagle Net login screen will show as usual.
Enter your current username and password, then click OK or press Enter.
You will be presented with a second login screen. This is to authenticate you to the new Microsoft Active Directory domain. Your username is the same. The first time you login you will use au-Your 7 Digit AU ID number. For example au-1234567. (all in lowercase)
DO NOT check the box next to Change your Windows password to match your Novell password after a successful login.
The first time you login you will need to set your Active Directory password to meet password complexity rules.
A complex password is defined as: At least 8 characters in length, and must contain three of these four types of characters: Uppercase, Lowercase, Number, and Symbol. In addition, your password cannot contain your First Name, Last Name, or AU Username.
Some examples of a complex password would be:
Tuffy24!
tuffy$10
Eagles21
Go!Eagles
You will be present with a screen similar to the one below. Enter your new password in both fields and click OK.

If the password does not meet the rules for complexity you will receive this error. Review the rules and try a different password.
Once you have created your new password you should get a confirmation screen like the one below. Click OK and you are in.

AD Password and EagleNet Password
Until the migration is completed, you will temporarily have two passwords when you log onto your computer:
Your current password for EagleNet and your NEW AD password.
