Administrative Computing including the IBM/Datatel Web Advisor, Student Information, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Budget Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Personnel systems.
Network services including the Group Wise message management system (including e-mail), LANs and WAN connectivity to all departments, colleges and sites, and the Internet. Course software is loaded on a network server per faculty/staff request (as much lead time as possible helps software be available for student use in a timely manner -- this service can take up to three weeks). If you have a problem with network or Internet access, call the HelpDesk at X5405 or send an e-mail to help@ashland.edu.
Telephone system including voice, video and data. All telephone service requests should be sent to the IT HelpDesk either by calling X5405 or e-mailing help@ashland.edu. (Note that billing questions still go through Joyce Cover in the EagleCard Office.)
Media delivery services including overhead projectors, data projectors, video recorders, digital cameras and a variety of other equipment.
Technical support
services including computer and hardware installations,
repairs and upgrades. Technical services are available for all university-owned
hardware and software.
Web services including assistance with the development and uploading of your personal Web page. Live video and audio web broadcasts can be available for University related events.
Instructional Technology skills-level training is offered to anyone who makes an appointment for these services, includes such things as WebCT, MS Office, Group Wise, video conferencing, scanners, etc.
Video digitization of academic materials.
Satellite downloads of any publicly available program. Program guides for satellite download material are available on the web at http://www.21st-satellite.com. Please let us know if you find useful sites with information, seminars or classes relevant to faculty, staff and students.
Video conferencing classroom is available in 103 Patterson Hall.
