Who We Are...

The Instructional Technology Services (ITS) in the Office of Information Technology is in place to support the academic mission of the University in the use of educational technology and online learning. With that in mind, we prioritize providing:

Our second priority is to serve the University community, including administrative units and other entities in the college.

We serve University personnel and are stewards of University resources. As servants, we will assist and lead faculty in their roles as educators in the areas of educational technology and online learning in fulfilling our primary mission to enhance academic outcomes. As stewards, we are responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities, providing the best possible, sustainable environment for successful learning at the University. This means that we will coordinate the resources we are responsible for in way in which everyone gets the best possible results.

What We Do

Consultation

ITS offers up-front project consultation in course development, multimedia development, and training needs.

Training

ITS provides training in a number of software, hardware and pedagogical practices.

Instructional Design

ITS uses research proven approaches to content review, audience analysis, development of instructional objectives, media development, and evaluation.

Video-Delivered Distance Education

ITS will assist in the initiation, development and delivery of two-way videoconferencing and streaming media.

Web-based Distance Education

ITS offers assistance in the development and delivery of on-line distance education projects including non-credit educational efforts and for credit courses.

Web Development

ITS will offer limited assistance in website development, graphic design and video production.

Evaluation

As a part of the project development and delivery process, ITS can offer assistance in developing evaluation tools for your project either produced for on-line or in-person delivery. ITS can offer access to the online survey software, Zoomerang.
